These are suggested Interest Patches I feel we might be able to offer on such short notice:

I am working on trying to have one of the school’s computer rooms available to us but I don’t know if we will be able to arrange that or not. There are certainly other Interest Patches that could be offered or someone could lead a session to earn the Cadette Challenge. It depends on what the adults (leaders, mom, or other women from the community) are willing to do. We can only offer as many Interest Patches as we have adults to plan and lead a group of girls. Please volunteer to run an Interest Patch Group (IP group). I can guide any adult who is willing to lead an interest patch group, but I will be teaching Program Aide training and so will not be available to help with any IP sessions during the event.

Once I decide on which PA training sessions and IPs to offer, I will let you know so that each girl can choose which one she would like to do. The whole troop does not have to do the same thing.

Tentative Schedule:

Thursday, Dec. 3rd

8:30 AM – Cadettes, leaders, IP leaders, etc. arrive and all must check in at registration table. Girls must turn in signed permission slip and Health History (copy of back of registration form or can fill out the form attached to this flyer.) Adults must turn in Health History form only. Girls can put their sleeping bags and other possessions in out of the way piles in gym. The Camp-In nurse will file all forms and keep on hand at First Aid Station.

9:00 AM - Opening Ceremony (Any volunteers to perform this ceremony?)

9:15 AM - Handout schedules and explanation

9:30-12:00 – Session 1

12:00-1:00 PM – Lunch Break (Bring a sack lunch)

1:00-2:30 – Making "Swaps"

2:45-5:00 – Session 2 (Bring a snack for mid afternoon if you want one)

5:00-6:00 – Set up for dinner, get together to plan skits or other "talent show" performances

6:00-7:00 – Dinner and Clean up (We’ll have pizza delivered)

7:00- 9:00 – Talent Show, sing-along, and somemores

9:00 PM – Game Time! (Board and card games or just hang out with friends)

10:30 PM - Get ready for bed

11:00 PM - Lights out

Friday, Dec. 4th

6:30 AM - Rise and Shine!

7:00 AM - Breakfast (donuts, pastries, juice, milk, fruit – if you want cold cereal, bring your own – we’ll provide bowls and spoons)

7:30 AM – Breakfast clean up, pack up and Troop Kapers (each Cadette troop is assigned a job for cleaning up - there will be an inspection to be sure the jobs are done well, no girls are able to leave early until they have helped their troop with kapers. Will have "early kapers" for any girls who must leave early or who don’t spend the night)

8:30 AM – Scouts Own (any volunteers to lead ceremony?)

9:00 –11:00 AM – Session 3

11:00AM – Closing Ceremony

11:15 AM – Swap Time

11:45 AM – Inspections and Troop Check out

  1. Troop leaders must fill out evaluation with their girls and turn in to Camp-In director before having kaper area inspected.
  2. Troop leaders must have kaper area inspected and approved before allowed to check out their troop.
  3. At check out – Troop leaders pick up Health Histories for use at other events, girls pick up forms indicating what training they’ve completed and what IP requirements have been completed.
